The way I see the world has been determined by my studies in architecture. Sometimes my photographs resemble drawings, with an ambiguous message about the world. Sometimes they are like maps with traces of human presence on Earth. When flying, I cannot build a relationship with people the way it is in classical photography. I cannot participate in what is happening. I look at forests, fields and lakes. I look at natural catastrophes and I watch people taking rest – what I see is a portrait of civilisation.
